The 18th edition of AUTOR International Contemporary Jewelry Fair will take place on the 20 – 21st April, at the National Theatre Bucharest, Romania.
AUTOR is the most important event in the field of contemporary and art jewelry in South-Eastern Europe. The 2019 edition will mark the 10th anniversary of creating a dynamic environment with high selection standards for contemporary jewelry. The participants at AUTOR are offered access to an exquisite and attractive clientele. Beyond the actual fair, AUTOR is an active platform that encourages and creates a dialogue between designers and their public: consumers, collectors, distributors, specialised media.
Established in 2009, AUTOR has positioned itself throughout its 17 editions as an innovative fair, a connector and a context creator for contemporary and art jewelry creative talents.
How to apply for the 2019 edition of AUTOR:
Eligible to participate at AUTOR Fair:
• jewelry professionals, artists and collectives from creative fields who create contemporary and art jewelry from all over the world – any country or nationality.
• galleries of contemporary jewelry
• contemporary jewelry schools
• curators with specific jewelry projects.
The selection process:
An international jury will select the designers participating in AUTOR 2019, based on the following general criteria:
• submission of a new collection (presented for the first time at AUTOR Fair)
• concept (powerful ideas, meaningful pieces)
• originality (we are looking for a personal body of work)
• compliance with the contemporary jewelry principles (coherence/unity of the works)
• innovative use of materials and techniques

Sofia Björkman – jewelry artist and founder of Gallery Platina in Stockholm
Caroline Broadhead – jewelry artist, professor and former Programme Leader and Course Leader, BA Jewellery Design, College Central Saint Martins, London
Hans Hofer – Artist and Professors for Jewellery at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design
Ruudt Peters – jewelry artist and jewelry proffesor, Amsterdam
Dan Pierșinaru – visual artist, founder and director of AUTOR Platform for contemporary jewelry.
Individual basic artist fee starts from 450 Euro;
Included: promotion before & after the event; the stand (white jewelry table support 120x68cm X 90 cm high and chair); branded tag with the name and the country of origin; 3 invitations to the fair; exposure to an attractive clientele (aprox. 3000 people in two days); the latest issue of AUTOR Magazine which will be out mid April; contact with specialists in the field, invited by AUTOR; and free access to welcoming cocktail party, conference, and Autor 2019 after party.
Collectives I – max. 3 people – 1200 Euro
Collectives II – max. 5 people – 1500 Euro
Included: promotion before & after the event; the stand (grey jewelry table support 250×120 cm X 70 cm high and chairs); branded tag with the name of the collective and the country of origin; 3 invitations to the fair; exposure to an attractive clientele (aprox. 3000 people in two days); the latest issue of AUTOR Magazine which will be out mid April; contact with specialists in the field, invited by AUTOR; and free access to welcoming cocktail party, conference, and Autor 2019 after party.
Payment deadline for selected artists to participate to the fair: 15th March 2018.
Candidates from all countries and nationalities will be eligible to participate in the fair. There are no restrictions regarding material, size and concept of the pieces. To take part in the application process, please make a payment of 18 euros (tax included) after finalising the registration process.
