While we are used to discover jewelry in classic settings such as on the shops’ shelves or worn by the admirers of this sort of accessories, and event such as Extins aims to extract jewelry from the commercial realm and present it as contemporary art in the installations created by the designers. This is the leading concept of the event which implies operating a transgression of the object from its commercial state to the artistic one. The exhibition is meant to familiarize the public with contemporary designer jewelry and to implicitly encourage the young designers who have channeled their creativity and resources in this direction.
