ARAH creates jewellery that begins with the simplicity of form and evolves into a language of energy, presence, and personal expression. In the context of participating in AUTOR 2026, we spoke with Diana about the making of the Forme collection, the relationship between object and body, and how jewellery can communicate something profound without saying anything explicitly.
When did form become more than just a result for you, and start turning into a way of thinking within ARAH?
When I began noticing that the jewellery pieces were connected to one another and could build a story together, that they could communicate with each other.
Where does a piece usually begin for you? With an idea, a sketch, or directly from the material?
Most of the time, I start directly from the material. I feel it, imagine its overall shape, and then the details emerge naturally as I work.
You mainly work with silver and gold. What draws you to them beyond their conventional meaning as materials?
I started working with silver, which is why it’s the material I feel closest to. Gold, however, has a different refinement and presence. Each material carries a different energy and completely changes the way I create a piece of jewellery.
How do you see the relationship between object and body? What changes the moment a piece is worn?
For me, everything begins with energy, and only afterwards with aesthetics. You may feel strong inside but not know how to express it. By wearing these pieces, you show it without words.
In Forme, everything seems reduced to its essence. Was it more a process of construction or elimination?
Forme is about essence, not excess or spectacle. It was more a process of construction, about how a simple shape can carry a story and communicate something beyond the object itself.
How does this collection position itself within the context of AUTOR 2026 for you?
I feel this collection fits very naturally within the direction and context of AUTOR 2026. I want my pieces to exist in spaces where the object is seen not only aesthetically, but also as a personal and artistic expression.
What would you like someone to carry with them after encountering an ARAH piece?
I would love them to remember both the simplicity of the form and the story they can discover within an ARAH piece of jewellery.
What do you hope people will discover when they encounter the Forme collection at AUTOR 2026?
I would like them to discover the hidden universe within each piece and the way jewellery can communicate something profound without saying anything explicitly.
