For me contemporary jewelry means applied art! I create unique and limited series jewelry and also costume products. Made from gold, silver, gems and semiprecious natural stones next to unconventional materials, my collections are strongly linked to the inspiration of the moment and comes from everywhere around me: forms, sensations, feelings.
My jewelry always starts from a concept. I like to build on my jewelry the story behind them. My jewelry stands out through daring volumes and new finishes of the surfaces.
Their apparent difficult wearability proving to be complex and atypical.Exhibition places: The Workshop Gallery: 26, Carol Davila Street, Bucharest

“Moving Art” Collection by Andreia Gabriela Popescu
The role of contemporary jewelry has become extremely important because of the power it can have in visual communication and emotional education. Jewelry is a tool for social observation, analysis and relationship.
Through my collection I wanted to transpose some Japanese prints, starting with the creations of the famous artist Utamaro, famous for his portraits of Geisha woman.
(“Geisha” = Person of the arts, performer of ancient tradition of Japanese art, expert in calligraphy, dance, music and conversation art).
The art exhibited in museums is seen and known only by those who frequent the museums. And, because you can’t leave “with the painting in your back” to spread the culture, I created art-bearing jewelry.
It’s art in motion… Moving Art!
The “Moving Art” Collection by Andreia Gabriela Popescu consists of unique brooches, rings, earrings and necklaces, made with 999 Pure Silver, 925 Sterling Silver, 14K Red Gold, enamels, rice noodles, rice grass, bamboo leaves, Japanese paper, seaweed leaf and resin.
Technique used: construction, champlevé, engraving and riveting of overlapping planes at a distance.
