I also studied on conceptual jewelry design, jewelry design using waste materials and lectured at Atılım University on this topic.
I attended several joint exbitions and performed an individual presentation on contemporary jewelry at Architetects’ Association in Ankara.
The collection here below is made of raw hide leather. Once dampened and given a particular form, this material preserves its form unlike other leathers used in manufacturing clothing, handbags, shoes etc. Also, as the material is raw. the surface is very convenient for various treatments and texturing. The pieces are cut, given a particular form, surface texturing, pigmenting; then binded up by stainless steel to form brooches/collar pins; or, assembled to end up in simple basic geometric shapes like circles, semi circles, hoops. The backpins are of stainless steel and the necklace cords are of textile.
