In this issue we question beauty and research beauty’s appearances and implications in contemporary and art jewelry. With thought pieces on jewelry, adorning the body with jewelry and physical grace, recycling and craftsmanship, nature versus technology and revisited cultural heritage, we discover the jewelry as a surplus and an extra through the subjective eye of beauty, discussing and questioning in this moment, if jewelry should be beautiful in order to enhance and beautify.
