AUTOR Magazine is a magazine which focuses on contemporary jewelry and on the way we choose to decorate our bodies. After a pilot issue launched in 2013 and a first edition of the magazine in 2014, we’re now preparing for a fantastic second issue.
Contemporary jewelry exists beyond art galleries and fairs. It is ever present in our day to day lives, and Autor Magazine aims to reflect this cultural mobility so typical of art jewelry.
THE LOVING ISSUE
Our second issue will to be launched in April 2015 and it thoroughly documents the relationships we build with the jewelry we choose to wear. These are natural, organic, up-close and personal liaisons which escape hazard and coincidence. The choice of jewels is an authentic, heartfelt decision, as mysterious and magical as falling in love is. And when we find that match made in Heaven, it will feel like the box office of our life, like a precious jewel that was designed by the measures of our heart.
SUBMISSIONS
Create one of a kind jewelry, write, draw, shoot or experiment for AUTOR Magazine #2. If you and jewelry have a past together or consider tying up the knot, we make sure it has a present tense in our second issue. You might be an installation artist or a selfie poet, you might create rings or write. You might be a designer, a photographer, a novelist, a politician or a cook. You could be documenting your jewelry maker-turned spouse’s life with your iphone. Anything goes.
Send: jewelry-related projects, photo editorials, visual&internet art, texts, confessions, interviews. We’re looking for: one of a kind jewelry designs, strong visuals, honest writing, intimacy&reality. Get inspired by this issue’s theme (LOVING) if it sounds, looks and acts like you. If it doesn’t, don’t worry. We’re still pretty sure you’ve been moonstruck or lovestruck about something and want to share it. Submissions are to be sent on mag@dautor.ro
