Coming from Transylvania (with the patience and calm of people living there ), I attended the Academy of Economic Studies and I worked and I still working in the economic field. My passion for jewelry was born recently, and grows ever since. I want to experience as much as I can in this area, which is why I attended the Assamblage – Contemporary Jewelry School. I want to evolve and I try to express as many things as I can in the only possible way for me: the one which is representative for who I am.
What are the main concepts translated through your work?
The pieces from the “IN and OUT” collection for AUTOR 14 are the materialisation of my very personal belief about the humans struggle to overcome their condition. In order to evolve, man is obliged to assume the risk of interacting with the unknown. The shapes I have chosen are meant to illustrate the world man knows, and the one he has yet to meet. The colours complete de image, indicating the feelings of the character.
What material would you like to get to work with but haven’t had the chance yet?
I don’t even know where to begin. The first one would be resin. Then glass and ceramics. And because my friendship with metal is still incipient, I wish to experiment more and diverse ways to work with it.
How would you describe the person wearing your jewellery?
It’s for sure an unconventional person.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Although I heard it from someone else, the main advice I always give myself is: “Be yourself!”
If you were to be a piece of jewellery, what would you be?
I would be a jewel that covers the soul.
