The Essence of Tradition Jewelry Collection
Jewelry bearing Romanian archetypal symbols
This project is a research-based exploration dedicated to traditional Romanian motifs, inspired by old textile ornaments. These motifs are extracted, reinterpreted, and brought into the contemporary world through a personal lens, using aesthetic solutions and modern fabrication methods.
The collection consists of eight pieces: four rings and four necklaces, each necklace retaining the decorative element of its corresponding ring. All eight components were designed to be integrated into a large-scale metal base, inspired by the traditional shape of a buckle. The collection was envisioned to be made of titanium, chosen for its strength and adaptability in the mechanical processing required to transform the pieces into a cohesive ensemble.
The current products are 1:1 scale prototypes, created through 3D modeling and 3D resin printing, serving as demonstrative models for the final concept.
Dimensions of the decorative elements:
Model 1: 54 mm length × 52 mm width
Model 2: 55 mm length × 55 mm width
Model 3: 54 mm length × 54 mm width
Model 4: 55 mm length × 56 mm width
Dimensions of the Buckle:
229 mm length × 115 mm width × 53 mm height
