Cláudia Afonso, a Portuguese designer, expresses her artistic freedom through contemporary jewellery. Her pieces are carefully crafted by hand through wax modelling, allowing for spontaneity, expressiveness, and sculptural freedom.
Her inspiration often comes from observing nature, art in general, and their meanings. She knows that her work is closely linked to marine life, as she loves to observe the ocean and its inhabitants, absorbing feelings of peace and connection. This is reflected in her delicate, fluid, and organic unique pieces, made of silver and gold.
She feels that her mission in jewellery is to contribute to celebrating life, female individuality, and creativity. Her jewellery is for women who dare to wear art, allowing them to recreate their personal style in a unique way.
Cláudia Afonso graduated in jewellery from the Contacto Directo Jewelry School and obtained a degree in Industrial Design in Lisbon. She later pursued a postgraduate degree in Design and Cultural Exhibition Management in Barcelona.

I present the trilogy —Nereids, Oceanids, and Undines— which explores the fluidity of movement and its capacity for softness, lightness, and the beauty of free, water-like motions.
Each necklace or bracelet showcases soft, organic, and lightweight forms, creating pieces that uniquely adapt to the body, like a second skin. With an embracing design that feels effortlessly light to wear, this trilogy invites the wearer to express themselves freely, lightly, and fluidly.
The names Nereids, Oceanids, and Undines are drawn from the mythological universe, leaving their interpretation and imagination entirely up to you.
