For the 2019 edition, AUTOR brings into the spotlight and awards the most promising emerging artists of the moment. They will be selected from over 100 artists who confirmed their participation in this year’s edition, on April 20-21, at The National Theatre Bucharest.
Recognized for the high selection criteria, AUTOR seeks a number of aspects that differentiate the creations participating in the fair: the designer’s ability to propose an original and, at the same time, a very personal vision, to surprise, to question contexts and ideas, all transposed into art jewelry made with exceptional and innovative techniques.
AAA (AUTOR Awesome Award) is the highest distinction offered within AUTOR. The winner becomes FOCUS ARTIST at the 2020 edition. AAA identifies the most promising artist of the fair whose works will be in the spotlight and will be promoted for a year on AUTOR platform.
Joya Barcelona Award ensures free participation at the renowned Joya Barcelona Art Jewelry and Objects 2019. Vision, courage, a very personal message and outstanding finishes are the most important details that should describe the winning artist. Paulo Ribeiro, the founder and director of the Joya Barcelona Fair, will personally pick the winning artist who will be announced on Sunday 21 April.

Athens Jewelry Week Award offers free participation at Athens Jewelry Week 2020 in the central exhibition at the Benaki Museum. Niki Stylianou and Erato Kouloubi, co-founders of AJW, will choose the boldest, most challenging, truly contemporary and dynamic artist. The unitary style and the installation-showcased collection are top differentiators. The winner will be announced on Saturday, April 20th.

Assemblage Award is designed to help a young emerging artist to develop on both the creative and the technical side, offering the winner a complete contemporary jewelry training at the Assemblage Contemporary Jewellery School. David Sandu, the director and founder of the school, and Andreea Gabriela Popescu, teacher, will choose the winner on Saturday, April 20th.
Public Choice Award honors the most beloved designer chosen by the visitors of the two days of the fair. They have the chance to vote as per preference through the bean received at the entrance. The winner is offered the direct access to AUTOR 2020 and a 50% discount on the basic fee. Similarly, one of the visitors who voted the winner will receive a piece of jewelry of the winner.
