The MOME Alumni Jewelery exhibition, the result of a beautiful collaboration between the Design Institute of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME), organized within the Romanian Design Week, waits for contemporary jewelry enthusiasts, between 16th and 22th of May to discover the works of Budapest young talents.
Liszt Institute – the Hungarian Cultural Center Bucharest continues the collaboration with the Design Institute of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME). A partnership which yielded successful exhibitions over the years, organized within the Romanian Design Week: Mercedes Design (2017), Shaping Hungary (2017), Future Traditions (2018), Download Design (2018), Seating Objects (2019), Fashion & Textiles (2019), Uniforms for the Hungarian Athletes Participating in the Tokyo Olympics (2020), MOME 33 Photo (2021). This year, a contemporary jewelry exhibition takes place in the halls of the Liszt Institute, part of the Romanian Design Week, Design Go section.
The MOME Alumni Jewelery exhibition presents the artworks of those who studied Design and Metallurgy at the MOME University Budapest, some of whom are now established designers and professors at the same university. The professional and scientific knowledge offered by the Bachelor of Object Design and the Master programs of Jewelry and Metallurgy Design from the Design Institute of the Moholy-Nagy Art University Budapest, have a big impact on the Hungarian and International design culture, responding to the current challenges of the nowadays society.
Traditional craft knowledge complemented by the contemporary creative awareness, changing fields thanks to the new technologies, encourage creative and transdisciplinary collaboration between the fields of art, crafts and tangible design for object designers.
