Long-standing enterprises, renowned labels from the world of bijoux and accessories, both Italian and international, established and emerging designers: these are the stars of this exhibition due to host 376 brands, 37% coming from abroad – largely from Greece, Spain, Turkey, France and India – among which are Sharra Pagano, Aibijoux, Amle’ Jewels, Bikkemberg Jewels, Yvone Christa New York.
An exclusive showcase where tradition and innovation come together in a spectrum of style and creativity, representing a unique opportunity for buyers and retailers to discover handcrafted creations, unique and original pieces, and experimental and innovative projects, as well as explore the latest industry trends for the next summer season.
HOMI Fashion&Jewels Exhibition has proved to be the beating heart of a sector that, alongside the fashion industry, is a major driving force behind the recovery of the national economy. Figures in hand, Italian Fashion&Bijoux product exports experienced significant recovery in 2021 (+11.5%, in Euro), albeit partial, after the negative effects in 2020 (-14.7%), standing at around €3.5 billion. More specifically, the majority of Italian exports form the sector are attributable to Fashion Accessories, worth over €2.3 billion in 2021, up by +10.3% compared to 2020, although almost 9 percent lower than pre-pandemic figures. Italian exports of Bijoux Products, on the other hand, recorded a new all-time high last year, totalling €1,112 million (+14.2% compared to 2020).
For the 2022-2025 three-year period, Italian exports of Fashion & Bijoux products are expected to grow +8.4% on average annually in Euro.
Even at a more international level, in 2021 global trade of products from the Fashion & Bijoux sector showed signs of significant recovery (+11.7%, in Euro), after contracting considerably during the pandemic year, 2020, (-13.5%). At the end of 2021, global trade in the sector was worth around €40 billion.
In the 2022-2025 scenario, global trade in fashion and jewellery products is expected to grow by an average of +5% per year in Euro, reaching over €48 billion by the end of the forecast period. (Data source : Export Planning platform)
Coming back to the March edition, from design creations resulting from specialist research to ‘evergreen’ bijoux, right up to must-haves for the summer season, lots of the latest products will be there. On display will be the refined creations of Sharra Pagano, an internationally renowned brand synonymous with creativity, beauty and craftsmanship, alongside the unique, chic jewellery of Amlè, celebrated all across the globe, as well as French products by Ziio Jewels, exploiting the mash up trend between jewellery in different materials.
Plus there are the spectacular bracelets of House of Tuhina by AIBIJOUX, putting a contemporary twist on Indian tradition, as well as synthetic silk ones by Alexandra Tsoukala and even the sophisticated, modern design geometric creations by Christina Brampti who uses unconventional materials.
From Bikkemberg Jewels, meanwhile, there’s a new range featuring bracelets, necklaces and rings, all for men, while the brand Yvone Christa NY offers its unusual collections, handcrafted using the Venetian filigree technique.
Showcasing the latest trends and innovations, and that’s not all. Experimentation, collaboration and cross-pollination guide the schedule design of a forward-thinking enterprise like HOMI Fashion & Jewels Exhibition which, over time, is increasingly seen as a vibrant house, open to thousands of interpretations that are frequently explored thanks to its exceptional partners.
That includes Polidesign, thanks to which the trade fair presents a specialist observatory in a dedicated exhibition area which has identified two macro trends for the future that will steer consumers choices and desires for the next couple of years.
On one hand, ‘20s influences get a green light with their reverberating artistic and emotional values marked by light-heartedness and fantasy (with the Beyond Reality trend); on the other hand, there is room for a more inclusive, intimate movement, committed to self-acceptance including through jewellery and accessories that can show off your personality (Handle with Care trend).
The future meets the past at HOMI Fashion & Jewels Exhibition. Continuing in the wake of promoting the artistic and cultural heritage encapsulated in jewellery: presenting #BEFREE, the latest edition of the exhibition’s #BE series in which the freedom in key jewellery takes centre stage, explored through creations from over 150 designers and established brands, including Alessandra Calvani, D’Arc Studio Per .Bijouets Gaia Caramazza, Ida Callegaro, Joidart Per Aibijoux, Krimose by Cristiana Cavalli, Lebole Gioielli, Lorella Tamberi Canal, May Moma, Minrl, Oriunda Jewels, Ottaviani, and Se.Ma.Vi..
Another event organised in collaboration with Polidesign, which celebrates savoir-faire, showcasing the most authentic essence of accessories, understood as a fully-fledged lifestyle.
This is a key feature and is also the key to understanding the areas that HOMI F&J exhibition is divided into, but it is also part of a wider vision that encompasses the other main fashion trade fairs which, once again, have decided to join forces and concentrate the fashion accessories events into a single event. In the name of the slogan #BetterTogether, Micam, Mipel and The One Milano Special Featured by Micam (from March 13th-15th) will partially coincide with HOMI Fashion & Jewels.
