During the 19th edition of the AUTOR 2022 contemporary jewelry fair, Valdis Broze, winner of the AUTOR AWARD at Joya Barcelona 2019, exhibited a stunning collection of author jewelry. For the first time in Bucharest, the artist from Latvia was awarded this time with the newest prize, offered by the renowned curator from New York, Bryna Pomp.
AUTOR 2022 stood under the feelings of the warmth’s soul and the vibes of intimacy, rendered by the community in which strong bonds were created. As an example, in the middle of the event, a beautiful encounter also happend between Niki Stylianou, jewelry artist, gallery owner and editor of AUTOR magazine and Valdis.
As a result of the encounter and for the love of art, Niki invited Valdis to exhibit his collection at the newest art jewelry space in Athens and her most recent project called Uni.Versus Art Room.
If in Athens, you will have the chance to talk to the artist and experience directly the work that he describes as: “…simple forms and other elements that I like. I try to give to my pieces life and make them speak. I am always asking what other people see and hear in my works. The more associations my works evoke, the better they become. Gradually my works have become more ascetic”
