The AUTOR Fair is back after 3 years and is staging its 19th edition on 28 and 29 May in the ballroom of the Oscar Maugsch Palace at the University, inviting you to discover the new collections of contemporary jewellery creation. AUTOR puts the spotlight on the most promising designers and artists of contemporary jewellery and art, gathering new awards for the first time.
Recognised for its high selection criteria, in awarding the prizes AUTOR looks for a number of aspects that differentiate the creations participating in the fair: the designer’s ability to propose an original and at the same time highly personal vision, to surprise, to question contexts and ideas, all translated into jewellery made with exceptional and innovative techniques.
AUTOR Awesome Award (AAA) ➜ is the highest award offered within AUTOR and is awarded to the designer who will become FOCUS ARTIST at the 2023 edition. The AAA rewards the most promising artist, their work will be in the spotlight and will be promoted for one year on the AUTOR platform.
Joya Barcelona Award ➜ offers the winner participation in Joya Barcelona Art Jewelry and Objects 2023. Joya Barcelona seeks personal impulses in approaching concepts, excellence in technique, impeccable finishes. The founder and director of JOYA Barcelona, Paulo Ribeiro, will personally select the winning artist during the fair, which will be announced on Sunday 29 May.

ALCHIMIA School Award ➜ Passion is the key word, the synthesis in one word of the philosophy of the Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School. The award provides tuition for a two-week course in the workshops of the renowned school in Florence to help talented designers achieve their dream of becoming professional artists.
CLUSTER JEWELLERY AWARD ➜ offers the winner direct participation in the CLUSTER CONTEMPORARY JEWELLERY LONDON FAIR 2022. Established in 2016, Cluster set the tone for art fairs that cut out the middleman, cut out gallery representation. Cluster is more than a fair, it’s a shared adventure, a communal journey, a creative haven and a community building exercise.
PUBLIC Choice Award ➜ validates the most loved designer, by visitors to the two-day fair. The public has the chance to vote via the voucher received at the entrance and the winner receives automatic access to the next AUTOR 2023 and a 50% discount on the basic participation fee. In the same way, by drawing lots, one of the visitors who voted will receive a piece of jewellery bearing his signature.
