The 5th edition of MATERIA Fair will take place between 26th and 27th of October 2019 at Palatul Telefoanelor, Bucharest. MATERIA is an independent event, made for designers and brands that use leather as their main work material. MATERIA is both a platform and a fair, created and supported by AUTOR, his counterpart in contemporary jewelry design.
If you are a leather lover, MATERIA is the place where you can admire or purchase leather crafted items made by Romanian artists. The fair brought together over 40 exhibitors, creating a community who believes that leather, creative ideas and autumn days always work together.
This year, as always, you can also find carefully selected contemporary jewelry collections made by the most talented Romanian leather design creators.
Ana Marchetanu – Artefact Room
Ana Marchetanu, always a part of MATERIA, is accompanied by her awarded collection, Superorder 2019. The jewelries are symmetric, made with soft leather and small metal parts, reinterpreting the natural order of the human body.
Antoaneta Zoltan – Karakter Studio
Antoaneta graduated the National University of Arts and she is the founder of Karakter. The Subtext collection started with Mies van der Rohe’s concept, Less is more. The essence is conserved trough clear, straight lines, the full-empty contrast and the leather’s organic texture.
Boiangiu Mihaela
Mihaela experiments trough her pieces the malleability of leather by changing colors, volumes and meanings. MATERIA can’t wait for you to come and see her full-of-personality jewelries.
LIA Essentials
LIA Essentials gives every woman the opportunity to embrace her own style. LIA bracelets are carefully created after its founder’s own models. Viorela’s design has its origin in the modern feminine universe, the predominant themes being – Lunch Break, Date, Girls Night Out or Cozy Sunday.
Afrodita Blasius – Miracolore
Miracolore is a contemporary jewelry workshop born out of the playful combination of leather, colors and volumes. At MATERIA you can let yourself inspired by these three elements by trying the latest Miracolore pieces.

Lucienne comes again at MATERIA, this time with brooches and unique textures. The collection is based on the concept of Cathartic Inflections, the equilibrium created by light and sound.
