Two authors of precious words – Iulia Burtea – and of photos – Camil Dumitrescu– met with seven authors of contemporary jewelry (Alina Carp, Alina Simion, Andra Lupu, Andreia Popescu, Cristina Popa – Huggin, Mihaela Ivana, and Andreea Mogoșanu – Moogu). Their collaboration was followed by the project ”Mac-Mac Jewelry” which will be presented during the 10th edition of the Autor Contemporary Jewelry Fair.
Contemporary jewelry takes itself seriously to the point where it transforms rings, earrings, and necklaces into a story that the artist crafts and the wearer lives. The photo series ”Mac-Mac Jewelry” was brewed from the desire to bring a smile on the face of the conceptual art.
The jewels float towards the swan song accompanied by six miniature birds through seven photographic designs. In their journey they are living the fantasy of reflection through situations of peril, uniformity, solitude, disjunction, and eccentricity. ”Mac-Mac” is the new bling-bling. Sophistication is fitted with humor while the shape is replaced by reform.
The photos made by Camil Dumitrescu will be exhibited for sale at Sala Dalles on the 16th and 17th of November during the Autor Fair.
